  • Dorothy Hiatt, 85, of Midway passed away April 10, 2017. Dorothy was born in Lake Village, AR on February 2, 1932 to the late Norman & Alice Karriker Cruse.

    Dorothy is preceded in death by her husband, Calvin Hiatt, two grandsons, Wade McKim, Larry Golden Childers, her brother, Frankie Cruse and an infant son.

    Dorothy is survived by her son, Neil (Stacy) Hiatt, her daughters, Brenda McKim, Donna (Gary) Childers, her sisters, Helen Roper, Norma Jean Houpt, Mary Jane Craig, Charlotte Brockwell, her grandchildren, Charla Langley, Andy (Brandi) McKim and Cori (Josh) Teel. She also leaves behind her great-grandchildren, Chase Ramsey, Tristian Langley, Chloe Langley, Levi Boyce, Lexy Boyce, Shae Boyce, Greyson Teel, Preslee Teel and Max Teel.

    Graveside Services will be held 10:00 AM Friday, April 14, 2017 at the Lindsey-Poyen Cemetery in Poyen, AR with Reverend Kelley Bohlman officiating.  Visitation will be held Thursday, April 13, 2017 from 6-8 PM at the Atkinson Funeral Home.

    A fine lady whom I enjoyed knowing and caring for over many years. I know her family will miss her greatly. May God comfort them.
